The scientific team composed of Łukasz J. Niewiara, PhD (head), Maciej Kolincio, M.Sc. and Paweł Białecki, M.Sc., has received funding for a research project entitled "Development of power electronic converters using modern semiconductor switches based on gallium nitride (GaN) dedicated to electricity storage systems."

Financial support was obtained under the project: "NCU Innovation Incubator 4.0", organised by the NCU Centre for Academic Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer. The research and implementation work aims to develop a prototype of an innovative DC converter with a Dual Active Bridge topology using gallium nitride (GaN) based power semiconductor devices. The designed device will be intended for cooperation with battery electric energy storage, enabling, among others, cooperation with systems of renewable energy sources. Thanks to modern transistors, it will be possible to achieve a high power density of the device while reducing its size. Congratulations!
