We invite all secondary school students interested in science to visit the research ]and computer laboratories of the Institute of Physics at the Nicolaus Copernicus University. If you are a teacher or student of a class with a mathematics, physics, computer science, chemistry, techical science or biology profile, or a leader of an interest group, this offer is just for you.
All of the physics laboratories are located in the Institute of Physics at the Nicolaus Copernicus University, at 5 Grudziądzka Street, only the Machine and Robot Laboratory and the Distributed Control Systems Laboratory are in the Scool of Engineering at 17 Szosa Okrężna Street in Toruń. They are the daily place of work for researchers, so visits by students must be adjusted to the schedule of their research work. Due to the need to maintain high levels of cleanliness and temperature stability, the number of visits to the National Laboratory of Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics is limited.
Activities are free of charge, designed for groups of up to 30 students, include visits to 2 laboratories and last approximately one hour. The project coordinator is Dr Andrzej Karbowski, e-mail, phone: +48 56 611 3291. Meeting dates can be arranged individually.
